John Tuohy returns to Brisbane
We recently said goodbye to John Tuohy as he returned to Queensland to rejoin
Bechtell in Brisbane. We do wish him every blessing for both his work
career and other life activities there and thank him for his dedication to
engineering excellence on our behalf. We have also appreciated John's
humour including his analogies of engineering to medical and other areas (he
should write a book).
Scott Langrehr joins us
Scott Langrehr, a structural engineer of some 12 years experience, joins us
in April on a full time basis. Scott has previously worked part-time with
us and brings additional expertise in commercial and domestic work as well as
his industrial experience. Scott's dedicated and thorough approach to
engineering will fit well with our aim of providing our clients with a very good
standard of engineering and service.
New Fees
Our standard fees are due for re-assessment at January 1 of each year.
It is now about 18 months since we last increased our standard fees, having also
delayed introducing our Year 2001 Fee Scales.
We are now applying increases of 4-6%, approximately in line with relevant
CPI increase over the last 12 months (6.1%).
We continue to pride ourselves in providing a cost-effective & quality service.
Please contact us for details of our new standard rates.

Ups
and
Downs
The
first
half
of
2001
saw
some
quieter
months
for
many
South
Australian
businesses
and
we
were
no
exception.
However
this
did
present
opportunities
for
marketing
to
new
clients
and
for
improving
our
procedure
documentation
including
OHS

W,
Drafting,

June
to
August
has
seen
a
dramatic
turnaround
and
we
are
now
as
busy
as
ever,
with
strong
prospects
for
both
the
short
and
long
term
future.
All
our
major
clients
are
busy
and
we
are
pleased
to
be
able
to
continue
to
provide
a
high
level
of
service
in
all
areas.
However
our
resources
are
stretched
and
it
is
time
to
staff-up
to
meet
the
growing
challenges.
